With how fast this is moving they should have FAA permits filed soon

So we should be seeing the parking lot closed off soon then.

I like the podium. It is a lot like the Hannover BLVD project.
I have seen the demo crews onsite

This a fantastic addition to the skyline. I like the positioning and it fills a gap. I feel the Minute Maid angle is the best view. Glad this is kicking off so soon and not just a dream.

It makes sense to start the base. The previous articles mentioned that they were close to signing a couple tenants that would need to move in 2020 or 2021. Those dates are already aggressive for a structure this size but getting started would at least pose them to get it built quicker once the land the tenants.

Wow. Three minutes later and you still can't find a rendering?
My life is exciting

Still can't find a rendering. Not even on the developer's website.

I like it, such a huge new development. It would be very interesting to see what would become of the area immediately adjacent, north of Clinton drive and then on to the northeast into the fifth ward proper.
The hard part is what happens to the residents if they get pushed. This area works because its an empty industrial site. Development slows if you don't have low income housing mixed in if you go into the fifth ward. You can see that slow downs with that type of expansion in areas like the second, third, and fourth wards, and near northside. There are areas that have historical designations and low income housing requirements. My hope is projects like this one bring in construction and service industries jobs that can be filled with the surrounding population and help lift everyone.

That is one heck of a vision

Welcome to the neighborhood, I’m right by Bethel Park
Awesome. I am close to West Webster Park.
In an update, they were delivering a flatbed of drywall this weekend. There were more workers on site as well. Not a full crew but at least 20 instead of the normal 5 or so.

It did what it was designed to do. I am glad there are parks and trails in the flood area so it looks nice the vast majority of the time it isn't flooded. The bayou could be a overgrown, trashy wasteland it once was that floods or it could be great parks, trails, and dog parks that are highly enjoyable that also flood.

What are the other two unknown projects?
The other two Caydon projects that have filed for FAA permits

Midtown is changing fast. Adding a 21, 27, 29, and two more unknown floor counts in the next ~5 years will really change the skyline of that area.

They put a sign up at Taft and West Gray saying leasing for Summer 2018. They are on the final wall (east side) of the facade.
-
It is a little offset from Wilshire so it shouldn't affect any direct views.
-
The Goodyear shop is empty and a sign is up saying they moved locations.

This is a nice but forgettable building. Great for infill and better than a wrap.
-
Oh man I just looked on my phone and assumed it was brick based on the color
-
I think the brick will look nice. Great infill.

2019 is projected to have some great projects kick off
