Once these two buildings are online, the area here is going to be a top notch neighborhood, you have brand new Class AA office, three really nice residential towers, historic buildings, a park, a couple of boutique hotels, bars, restaurants, etc. If One Market Square's half block gets developed, then you have the bank drive through and the half block next to the Houston Ballet to go in this immediate vicinity completely open for whatever development someone could come up with.
I'm a big fan of the way this is turning out, hope the momentum keeps up.
The amount of foot traffic and overall feel of Market Square and downtown in general in the last 2-3 years alone is remarkable.
I remember when I left for Michigan in 2014 for 3 years and returned to find a changed city core.
It's amazing.

This building is going up fast!
Drove from Spring to Hobby this morning on I-45 and the structure is now visible when coming over Buffalo Bayou.

Can anyone tell me what's going up on the corner of Pease and Caroline?

You can see it emerging from the fog at the very bottom.

It's this your going to block the view from the pool on top of Market Sq tower?
It shouldn't. If anything, it will add to the view and they'll be looking down at a possible pool on this building. A more urban feel.

I spend most of my weekends in downtown now. Bar and clubs line Main St and Market Sq, mostly I spend it here because my buddy from college is living at Aris now and it's near everything. The one gripe he has is that he has to drive to Midtown or Montrose for groceries but other than that he loves living there. His commute is walking downstairs and to the rail line and going to work in TMC. I've pondered moving myself but not with my salary.

Driving on 45S in downtown over the Buffalo Bayou, the presence of this building is very much noticeable.

Can somebody piece together a rendering of what all this will look like coming in from the North Frwy?
it's going to look sweet! though i'm starting to think it may block part if not all of 609 Main from that vantage point as well as One Houston Center

From the top of Latitude Med Center:
from looking at this view I am just realizing something.
IF Midtown was to get enough high and mid rises, Hermann Park would be our version of Central Park with development all around it

Was driving into downtown the other day and the construction is clearly visible from 45N and 610. It's gonna alter the skyline a tad from this side once it is complete.

Take note that this project will transform Midtown, 10-15 years from now we will look back as this being the highrise that connected TMC and DT skylines

Williams Tower looks lonely standing amid all of those mid-rises. Time to add taller towers in this area.
Give it 10 years and there will be.

tbh we won't see it from this angle at the rate this is going up. The view will be blocked by the construction
