    Saw a sign for something called Onyx Lounge hung up last night. I cant find anything online about it yet.

    I havnt seen any movement here for a while... Maybe the developers are realizing no gfr is a waste of space on such a high traffic ( foot and vehicle) corner and are redesigning it.

    I dont think anyone is arguing that the area is not improving. I just do not think it is a good location for a super-urban, walkable highrise. If you're going to sacrifice living space, you need to be able to walk out of your building and be in the middle of a city.

    haha not a public city pool, but charge admissions, like pools in vegas. Houston needs more party pools.

    Definitely looks much better, just put a cafe in or something! This company also did the building with baraby's in downtown... Do it in midtown too. Its a very visible and active corner. Lots of foot traffic, people in the neighborhoods nearby walk down taft to Buffalo Bayou. There will be a new crosswalk across allen parkway so that foot traffic will grow even more. It cant be that big of a risk.

    Yea, they're going to need to clean that area up before this happens. This looks cool, but the people in the first rendering would technically be walking from the greyhound station...

    Any updates on this? The Farb website is really out dated. Think it fell though?

    Yes, i would not walk any where near Clayton homes. I was surprised an upscale apartment complex was built nearby. Just look at the reviews online for the marquis lofts just down the street from there. Looks to be lots of problems coming from the adjacent projects.

    Interesting, I wonder if that means they would demolish the existing building and start from scratch.
