  1. Sounds like the same cookie cutter crap that you find in other pseudo developments. Nothing new, exciting or unique.
  2. I now see, thanks to Google, that the Hotel was forclosed on by Southwest Bank in May 2003. Trammel Crow was hired to market to place. Hell, they should have gotten one of those hotel loans from the cith which you do not need to pay back if you do not want to. a la Magnolia Hotel.
  3. developer Ray Ferguson formed an LLP, One Bayou park to purchase the building in 1997. They planned to open luxury apartments and offices. In 2000 they changed their minds and decided to open "Theater Hotel" on the site in 2001. The place was renovated but has been vacant for years now. I suspect someone took a bath on this project.
  4. it is a neat building with a very interesting history. Unfortunatley it is surrounded by g*damn broken down firetrucks. Leave it to the city to crap up something good with their junk.
  5. Anyone know what the story is with the Tennyson? It was redone into lofts but never seemed to open up. There was a fire in the parking garage a couple of weeks ago. Was the redevelopment a scam? What is the story?
  6. That space would make for a great bowling alley. Just think of the babes that would draw in.
  7. Hey what is going on at the Western portion of the old Albert Thomas Convention Center? It looks like they have taken down the exterior walls. There was some discussion that a high rise residential facility would be built but it does not look like that is happening.
