I do not disagree with you on the overall project. However,  the two story lobby into the tunnels appears to be turning into something unlike anything else downtown. 

The chain link portions seem to be temporary opposed to the other fencing. My hope is the gates for each side had to be specially fabricated and are simply delayed. 

Is it tied to the Astros  ?

Fence was down on 3 out 4 sides this morning. Will try to grab a pic on the way home. Thought it looked nice and we are just continuing to build that downtown fabric.  

Add 10 stories and build it next to OPP downtown as condos orr lot behind the Marriott. Not going to be picky.

So when I-45 is rerouted this one goes away for two reasons? No longer on an Interstate and not really business viable?

612' would make for some pretty tall ceilings for a rental building.  Skepticism might be in order here.

Skyscraper Page has 2929 at 162.5M and Huntingdon at 153.3M. Which one is right?

From the little knowledge I have it's all of the above. I would think it varies by real estate value and the structure. Point in fact, NYC just demolished 3 "historic" buildings to build One Vanderbilt  and JPM plans to demolish their 50's style tower to build a more substantial modern tower. Other buildings, especially the turn of the century examples, have been office, hotel, residential, to now boutique hotels. I stayed in such a building just this year.

All sarcasm aside, I think it would be great to see where all of this space is. For example, how much of the available office space in in the vacated office buildings around Greenspoint? That space will probably be available for a long time. How much of the space is in the energy corridor? etc.

There is a reason more buildings are being built downtown/centrally. That is where young people and now even older generations want to be. Even if they are not going to work in the CBD. 

The Catalyst does this for Astros games..  

FYI the dog park is up and running within two weeks of the flood that “ruined” the dog park. Buffalo bayou posted pics of dogs already making use of the lake/pool and running around. Guess no one  is going to post that on reddit though and say how wrong they were but I digress. Cheers to our awesome park!

270.2 m/811+ ft would put it top 5 in Texas.

Wow, Hines Global headquarters are moving downtown. If that is not a sign of the winds changing for downtown, I am not sure what is.
