4 Pages of content and no one has brought up the most crucial question yet....
....Will the Ivy lofts contain actual Ivy?

Geez! I felt almost sick when I bought $20 hand soap at Pottery Barn.
Does it come with gold infused dead sea salt sprinkled with water from the fountain of youth?
To get back on topic. What were we talking about here? .... Oh right, I like those intricately woven threads that coat the outermost layer of my epidermis from neck to foot almost 24/7.

Oh for goodness sake, stop making things complicated.
I know people in Uptown eat food I'm not stupid. I was just pointing out the juxtaposition of a suburban style fast food restaurant right across from a gigantic edge city filled with mostly luxury shopping, work, dining, and entertainment experiences.

I would love to share that title with you, but I was called bigfootsucks in a PM so that's kind of a big deal
You can have that title forever man, thats rough.

OOOOH THEY SHOULD MAKE THE LIGHTS HAVE A CASCADE EFFECT LIKE A WATER FOUNTAIN (after all it is partly inspired by Aqua which was inspired by water)
....sorry for my excitement we need some light motion up in this skyline....

Texas and A&M share the Permian basin fund money and I don't believe that U. of H. or for that matter any of the other Texas
schools get a penny from that account. I know one of the last times U.of H. requested more money from the state legislature
UT said only if they get more also as if they needed any more money. Of course they got more money. So is the power of being in
the state capital, and half the legislators graduating from either Texas or A&M.
Thats correct, all of the permian basin money favors UT and A&M and it won't ever favor other schools like UH or UNT until there is less UT/A&M influence in Texas congress... (but that will likely never happen for a LONG time)

This is just a question. What's so deep about Ellum? Or why is it called that? I like it, it has a nice ring to it.
Oh and those renderings look great!

Holy crap, lol. Not sure what to think
I feel like this belongs in Moscow... by the Kremlin, just change the black and white into red bricks and voila, you have a giant kremlin tower.
They're joking right?

I feel like going to the empty downtown/midtown/east end lots and screaming
"You get a tower, you get a tower, you get a tower, and YOU GET A TOWER!!!"
Then i froth at the mouth and collapse from excitement.

I hope they name one of the streets "Choo Choo Lane" for that extra corny rail yard nostalgia.

I've always thought if they can develop the KBR site into a neat bayou oriented development or really just anything mixed use with a large residential component that it would be cool if they could have water taxis going from downtown to KBR. It would probably be a quicker means of transportation than trying to find a parking spot downtown in your car.. Allens Landing is right next to UH-D and their light rail station. But yeah, beyond that segment of Buffalo Bayou I don't think there's enough water in any bayous for water taxis.
Again cloud Why aren't you a developer? Or what have you been smoking? It's clearly doing wonders for your imagination!

Theater Square? Should we start putting up electronic billboards on all buildings surrounding market square?

Well, with the constant stream of empty promises from the fools behind "Grand Texas" and "Earthquest" it's highly unlikely. It's a nice idea to contemplate though.

Honestly this skyscraper construction is the fault of River Oaks, I mean how are you going to have a street named Mimosa and not expect people to want to slap a building on there. "I just had mimosas on mimosa"

Can't they just buy a new Greezed Lightnin', one of my dreams has to come true also.... Why an RV park? Whats the point of that, is there a significant number of fathers following Robin Williams' footsteps in taking his dysfunctional family on an RV trip?

Anyway, back to this building. The rendering reminds me a lot of Transco....big shoulders. Anybody else see the comparison; especially if it was standing along in the Museum District. I just hope they don't scale it down any. Sigh...
Yes! I thought of it looking like a Transco-ish design, isn't this building designed by Phillip Johnson's firm or something?
