  1. Geez! I felt almost sick when I bought $20 hand soap at Pottery Barn.

Does it come with gold infused dead sea salt sprinkled with water from the fountain of youth?  :P

To get back on topic. What were we talking about here? .... Oh right, I like those intricately woven threads that coat the outermost layer of my epidermis from neck to foot almost 24/7.

  2. Texas and A&M share the Permian basin fund money and I don't believe that U. of H. or for that matter any of the other Texas

schools get a penny from that account. I know one of the last times U.of H. requested more money from the state legislature

UT said only if they get more also as if they needed any more money. Of course they got more money. So is the power of being in

the state capital, and half the legislators graduating from either Texas or A&M.

Thats correct, all of the permian basin money favors UT and A&M and it won't ever favor other schools like UH or UNT until there is less UT/A&M influence in Texas congress... (but that will likely never happen for a LONG time)

  3. I've always thought if they can develop the KBR site into a neat bayou oriented development or really just anything mixed use with a large residential component that it would be cool if they could have water taxis going from downtown to KBR. It would probably be a quicker means of transportation than trying to find a parking spot downtown in your car.. Allens Landing is right next to UH-D and their light rail station. But yeah, beyond that segment of Buffalo Bayou I don't think there's enough water in any bayous for water taxis.

Again cloud Why aren't you a developer? Or what have you been smoking? It's clearly doing wonders for your imagination!

  4. Anyway, back to this building. The rendering reminds me a lot of Transco....big shoulders. Anybody else see the comparison; especially if it was standing along in the Museum District. I just hope they don't scale it down any. Sigh...

Yes! I thought of it looking like a Transco-ish design, isn't this building designed by Phillip Johnson's firm or something?
