  1. I'm really failing to understand how the BRT is going to work. It looks like, at least northbound on Post Oak at the San Felipe intersection, the bus lane will be sharing the second left turning lane onto San Felipe with regular traffic. I thought the BRT was supposed to be completely separated with signal priority? There are also other points along the route that make it seem like the bus lane and the regular traffic lanes will merge. If so, this is going to be a total cluster

  2. Since AMC ruined Sundance downtown, there hasn't been anywhere good to see a movie, other than iPic. Both of the Edwards are very dated, dirty, and are in desperate need for an overhaul. I thought Edwards Greenway might turn it around a little when they started serving alcohol, but the their policies about it are terrible (ie. wristbands, drink limits, plastic cups). I don't know why it's so hard to turn a profit in the loop, and you can't tell specifically about the Houston location from the iPic financial statements, but the whole company is incredibly unprofitable. It seems like it's a tough business and high rents like in the loop make the projects DOA unless it's something niche.

Yes there are bedrooms on the southern portion of the building's west wall, but as it happens, not nearly as many as on the northern portion; and there has also been some glass removed from the southern portions of the building, but as it happens, not as much... coincidence?.  But in any case, the theory that this may be in reaction to there not being as much market for all glass bedrooms as had been imagined is not suggesting that there is no market for all glass bedrooms.

These units, like the Cosmo, will almost all have remote blinds.

I don't understand the hysteria over this. Do any of us really think Randall Davis is going to just leave this ugly blank wall on this tower, contrary to the renderings and, more importantly, while he's trying to market an even more upscale condo tower across the street? Come on. The final product may not be up to the standards of some of us (I'm not that big a fan of the Cosmo myself), but he's not going to do something that boneheaded. Cut him some slack until the building is finished and the ivy starts growing (or whatever the final product is)...

This was such a great comment looking back. Apparently he is that boneheaded.
