  1. I keep thinking of Professor Frink (Simpsons) with a test tube in hand...
  2. It looks to me like 609 Main and BHP Billiton turned on some love makin' music and let one thing lead to another if you know what I'm saying... I agree that the nicest looking buildings that are immediately off of 610 are the 1233 & 1333 WLS twins...but I like this one more primarily because of its height and crown. It will stand out for sure.
  3. Oh, I get it. If i mock your opinion and turn it into something completely different than your intended use, then I'm in the wrong place. I apologize for putting words in your mouth and interrupting the board. There was absolutely no need for that. FIFY. Okay...sorry for interrupting the board myself, but I just felt like that needed to be said.
  4. On clear days they should have views (at least building wise) of Greenspoint and The Woodlands, plus the buildings on the North Loop between Shepherd and 290 areas. Maybe they'll get a good view of whatever is going to replace the huge abandoned car dealership on the North Fwy around Gulf Bank if they're lucky, although I'm not exactly betting on another "Marlowe" going up there...
  5. You're probably right. I can speak for myself, but I do think that this is one of the most anticipated projects "soon to go up," and some of us are perhaps a little overly excited.
  6. I wasn't really referring to the developer...but wasn't "The Carter" previously named "The Chelsea?" If not, MY MISTAKE w/ egg all over my face...
  7. I've seen NBA teams at the Four Seasons downtown, and NFL teams at the JW Marriott at the Galleria.
  8. I really like 45 heading northbound going over 59 and onto the Pierce Elevated. The city looks so dense and love the Uptown skyline in the distance from there (not the mention the massive downtown skyline to the right and med center/inner loop/GWP skylines to the left).
  9. The fact that the price of oil has fallen so much in such a short period of time may still be news to some people. A week ago, it was about $10 higher than it is now...and 2 weeks ago it was about $20 higher. This is a developing story that may very well be changing the status of certain projects every day. It's not like the comments "waiting on" those comments are adding a whole lot to the discussion either. There's probably been more argument about "talking about oil prices" than there have been comments about oil prices themselves at this point. Just saying...
  10. Yeah, I remember paying $4.15 for a gallon of regular gasoline just outside of Brenham right after Hurricane Ike. Some places were price gouging at the time, but I do remember oil reaching its all time high during that time...and then it dropped like a rock at the end of 2008. Oil reached $147 in mid July 2008, and then dropped down below $40 in December before creeping back up...while the national average for the price of a gallon of unleaded gas in mid July 2008 reached $4.11, and then dropped all the way down to $1.66 by mid December 2008 before it started creeping back up also.
