Ross
John Nova Lomax died today at age 53 according to family. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/lifestyle/article/john-nova-lomax-writer-houston-texas-dies-18088579.php I read a lot of his articles and columns over the years. His writing introduced me to Townes van Zandt and Guy Clark, which led me to a bunch of other great music. His piece in the Houston Press on walking the length of Westheimer was emblematic of how good he was, making a mundane walk interesting. The story he wrote about his mother was another great piece. I had seen a Go Fund Me for him as he was in the hospital dealing with medical issues related to alcohol. Sad all around.
