That's an interesting article about the house facing Brays Bayou. I stumbed on that pond in the culdesac many years ago, when it wasn't in the best of shape. I took pics of it. Nice to know the history. Seems like there was new construction going on at the time. I remenber one beautiful (I think it was Spanish Style)house sitting at an odd angle on the western side of the pond.

Yea that is a good article, I guess I should ask about the history of the Spanish Style home that one has been there since before 1944. AS seen in the pic here.

That's 2330 North Braeswood:

2330 North Braeswood Boulevard

Joseph Finger, 1933

The first house to be built on Braeswood Court, it

originally looked out across Brays Bayou to the

open countryside. The painted tile plaque inset in

the chimney stack next to the swimming pool is

vintage 1930s.

That's from http://citemag.org/w..._Fox_Cite16.pdf

It looks like the house belonged to the Meyer family, responsible for developing Meyerland, until 1984 when the estate of the widow of Joseph F Meyer Jr sold it to Lailah Suki (a realtor active in that part of town in the 70's and 80's - I lived above her office on Holcombe at one point).
