The Houston version is coming in a few week.

Urban Dare Houston Details

Urban Dare Houston is like a 1-day Amazing Race beginning in Montrose. Teams of 2 solve clues to find checkpoints where they must take photos or perform dares in a race to the finish. We encourage you to call friends and use your smart phones to look up clues. You may walk, run or use public transportation to get to move around. Winning team gets a 3-day Royal Caribbean cruise at the end of February, where they will compete for $5000 in the first ever Super Dare.

45 dolla...

Yup, and it's the first year for them to do it, but then again, the previous cities looked successful.

It's unique.

When's the last time you had a chance to do a scavenger hunt, since highschool not doubt?

Should be fun, I got someone in mind, and hopefully we can do it.

Thanks Payam. I'll do my best. :)

Pondering it. I'm a public transportation expert.

It's a five mile course. So it won't be too bad.

But you can't use taxi's, bikes, or skate and I can't imagine that relying on a bus on a Saturday is any good. The frequency would kill any lead you have.

The MetroRail might be a different case.

2 is Menil, by the Richmond Hall light installation.

3 Isn't Columbus in that park in front of Ernie's on Banks (Montrose south of 59) ?

5 is Agora

7 is the MLK jr. statue by Rothko Chapel

8 must be on the UST campus somewhere...I don't know it.

11 Slick Willy's

The rest I'd probably have to Google

You would have made an excellent partner.

All of the ones you answered are correct.

I will see if anyone else can chime in on the rest before I post the answers.

1 is the chunk of the Berlin Wall displayed on the Rice campus between the Media Center and the Continuing Studies building (unless it's been moved since I last saw it there).

2 I'm wondering if there really is a giant red jack, or if that's just what someone is calling Oldenburg's "Geometric Mouse" iron sculpture that used to be installed in front of the Central Library before it was moved over by the Ideson Building.

6 is the statue of Sam Houston in Hermann Park.
