sarahiki
I'm very glad to see this news. I drove up Kirby last week and was shocked at how denuded it looks.
kdog08
Sounds great. I recently went down Kirby along the stretch between Holcombe and Braeswood and was amazed by the amount of trees planted after the construction was complete. It's unfortunate that this particular stretch of Kirby had to get rid of the mature trees but I think it will look much nicer with the added trees (especially in a decade) and streetscape additions. rsb320
As I recall, both these varieties of trees grow straight up and roots straight down. They should not impede on utilities or pavement, so hopefully they'll be around a very, very long time. Nice!
