Does anyone know the current status of the Halliburton property on the west Sam Houston at Bellaire? I read it was going to auction at the end of April, but nothing since?

I was reading the newspaper The Southwest Citizen dated September 21, 1950 and saw an article about this. Obviously this fell through? Were there any renderings or drawings of this project? Was this the black building in between the Crowne Plaza Hotel and the O'Quinn Medical Tower? This week I discovered a mid-rise black building that looked hidden (or out of place) in the medical center. The black building was not located on OST/Old Main though. The article states: Halliburton Oil Well Cementing Co. will build a $130,000 office and laboratory building on Old Spanish Trail, near the Old Main Street Road.

There are a couple of buildings going up right now on the North Belt between Aldine Westfield and JFK Blvd, just east of Halliburton. They are currently about 4 and 5 stories, and I'm not sure how high they are projected to go. Does anyone have any more info on this?

The oil-field services giant, now with five facilities in the area, will relocate 5,200 local employees to the two campuses but is not planning layoffs as part of the move, a company spokeswoman said. However, the company recently said it laid off an undisclosed number of workers amid a downturn in oil and gas drilling activity. Rivals Schlumberger and Baker Hughes have done the same. Under the new plan, Halliburton

I've picked up on some industry buzz about redevelopment of the KBR/Halliburton headquarters site. Seems that now that the spinoff is complete, they're refocusing some effort on their nearly 80-acre Buffalo Bayou tract. Does anybody have information on this? Either what is planned or when they expect to see something come out of the ground?
