  1. This is not a[n] HCTRA project. It's TXDOT. For reference.... TXDOT (with project): LINK HCTRA (without project): LINK
  2. DB650, where do you see that? Looking on HAR, the leases are $3800 - $10k while the buy options are $750-$2.2M. When I looked at them (in their office 2 years ago) they weren't appreciably different. The cheapest unit listed is ~$500/sqft. http://www.har.com/search/dosearch?for_sale=1&streetaddress=1409 post Oak blvd
  3. I wasn't trying to twist a knife, but was just interested how, specifically, this issue has not already been resolved (up or down). The site access issue is one I had not considered. I'm assuming there's also something about nuisance (since the trains make noise). BNSF is for-profit though... I assume they've had to build green-field rail in the last 50 years.
  4. Does anyone understand how this issue has not already been resolved by (what I assume to be) the VAST body of legal work and precedent around oil and gas pipelines? Pipelines are owned by public and private companies [or more broadly, "non-government profit-minded entities"] , delivering product inside and outside the state of Texas. While they are generally below grade, some cross state and federal highways (and rivers) above grade, and you generally can't build anything on the property above them. I assume there is some text somewhere that has classified that moving oil and gas is acceptable for reason of eminent domain, but moving people is not? Is this the issue?
  5. Is the other Chick-Fil-A at Richmond / Westpark offramp going to close?
  6. 2016 09 01: Nothing happening yet. (Photo by me) Even after (many) months (a year? two years?), I still don't really understand the new HAIF layout. Anyone know why I'm limited to photos of a size 60kB or less for the direct-attach method?
  7. Given the title of this thread, I want to explicitly state that I am FOR transit improvements along the Post Oak corridor, my home for 7 years. Asphalt laid from Uptown Park east. Utility improvements ongoing along the north / west side at various places. Tree removal in front of Astoria today (not visible). 2016 08 27: Pic by me.
  8. The work has kicked off. Trees have been removed from 610 @ Post Oak to the new BHP building. The ring at Uptown Park has come down. temporary light poles are up at 610 (and half-strung), and the poles are up at Uptown Park. Once the lights are strung the median is going to be paved over and traffic shifted over. Then utility work starts.
  9. Looks like there is a fence going up. Red box on map.
  10. I've walked past it a few times... kind of looked like mold / water damage behind the facade.
  11. Trees down along Post Oak from roughly the Astoria north-east to 610.
  12. The fact that 60% of households within 5-miles are "renter-occupied" was kind of unexpected. We all know there's a lot of apartments, but that's a LOT of apartments.
  13. This is kind of a weird doc. While the filing date and stamp both point to a May 2016 filing, the information appears unchanged from 2014 or 2015. The "Area Conditions" section references several projects that are [were] anticipated as opening in 2015-2016 but never got out of the ground (JLB Post Oak - the site south of Astoria, and 800 Post Oak - the Inverness townhomes). That said, I would love to have the south-east pad developed... it would block some of the late-night motorcycle noise.
