It seems like there is enough space around 288, so Metro can make some Park and Ride places around 288. They can be like those "T" stations. Have an HOV at least down to Highway 6.

How about a good Panda Express, or maybe another OTC. A Rice Village type retail would have looked nice though, but this project seems real good.

It would just be a nice piece of land to present. Nothing is happening on it now.

Is 288 completed as a freeway yet down there? On Google Earth, 288 still has some cross streets from the Beltway, all the way down to Highway 6. Is it planned to be a full freeway down to Lake Jackson?

I think the Astroworld site should be the site of a Houston Olympic Village. There is already a pedestrian crosswalk to Reliant Park, and the rail line would go right next to it. They can be some nice apartments to live in afterwards.

Hopefully one of these comes in. Though, I think Bloomies will end up at the Galleria, but a Nordstorm could work well here.

I think those streets need to be put in a promeade for pedestrian traffic. Maybe have one through street in the middle, but the others, no. -

Cy-Fair ISD Approves Names For 2 New High Schools
Trae replied to mrfootball's topic in The Great Northwest
I wonder how long it will take for those farmlands to be gobbled up. I actually don't want it to all happen, but Bridgelands and GP is taking that away. 529 looks like another prime freeway location for the area, too. Hope they do a "smart street" interchange with it at the GP. Also: -

Also, if you see that blue-dotted line, before 290, at about House Hahl. All of that to the left is Katy I.S.D. North is Waller I.S.D. So, if the Bridgelands is the Cinco Ranch of the northwest, I think Katy I.S.D. will need another High School up there. Cy-Fair probably needs another one (in addition to the one already proposed in Bridgelands). -

I got my Katy I.S.D. map here: http://deleon.tea.state.tx.us/SDL/ ^^That shows different. -
Cy-Fair ISD Approves Names For 2 New High Schools
Trae replied to mrfootball's topic in The Great Northwest
There is a boundary where the Grand Parkway will eventually go up. The Grand Parkway would be the split between Cy-Fair and Katy I.S.D. If you look at the map of the Bridgelands, everything on the left is Katy I.S.D. The first phases are on the right, and those are Cy-Fair's residents. The next phases on the left are Katy's. -

The Bridgelands will eventually be a part of Katy I.S.D. Not sure about Waller. The Bridgelands is almost twice the size of Cinco Ranch, too. Cy-Fair has already purchased a size in the middle of Bridgelands (off of the proposed Grand Parkway), for a three-school site (high, junior high, and elementary schools.). Depending on how fast Bridgelands grows, Katy I.S.D. will probably construct its seventh high school up that way. The growth in both of these school districts are amazing. By 2008, Cy-Fair will have 750,000 residents, and Katy will have 250,000-300,000 (from 175,000 now). -
Splashtown USA Water Park At 21300 Interstate 45 N.

I think Cedar Fair is a possibility. They don't have a park in the South at all (except for the one in North Carolina).- 86 replies

Benston Park sounds nice. What are they going to do with La Branch? Will it run under the park or just be stripped up?
-
It might be a cycle. The good areas become bad, and then we move further out, and those areas are good, until the crime catches up to them. There are already new subdivisions going upin Waller, Texas now. Its like Los Angeles I have not noticed the crime spike out here, but it shouldn't be too long.
