Hermann Park At 6100 Hermann Park Dr.
I went today. What a fantastic addition to Hermann Park and a truly great playground. I couldn't recommend it more highly for families. I wish there was a little more inviting open lawn space for non-families, but this will still be a destination area for Houstonians for years to come- park

Alta Sunset Heights: Multifamily At 1617 Enid St.
Without speaking to any particular area or project... why is this a problem? If current residents have "locked away" the land use in their area, doesn't that indicate that current residents want a certain type of development? Why should you, or anyone for that matter, be able to decide how an area should be developed that is "locked away"? This does not apply to areas that have no restrictions. If there is no zoning, or deed restrictions, or land use limits of any sort, then yes, you can develop. So an Ashby Hi-Rise would be allowed. But if there are restrictions of any sort, why should someone else decide to throw them out? Isn't that "taking"?- multifamily

Galveston's Population
Based on my experiences with living in a beach community while working in an adjacent large city: [1] Car pooling can offset some of the detriments (boredom, fatigue, fuel costs, wear and tear on your vehicle, etc.) of a long commute to and from work. [2] Car pooling works best if the respective commuters live relatively close to one another, have similar work hours, and are able to "get along" with one another during their daily commutes. My experiences with living in a beach community and commuting to an adjacent large city may not apply to the converse situation (living in a large city or densely populated suburban area and commuting to work in a beach community). -

Doves Restaurant At 5524 Richmond Ave.
I pass by this building almost everyday for work, its looks like it leased out to a vintage clothing pop up. Every weekend/ certain days there will be a line of teenagers with bags waiting to be let in. Im assuming this is just temporary though.
