pineda
Members of the Harris County legislative delegation should unite in the upcoming session to make sure Houston's academic engine gets its fair cut of the pie. Thanks, Midtown, for that article! Education, at all levels in the system, will be the top priority in the upcoming legislative session. If you don't know who your state representatives or legislators are, now would be an excellent time to find out, and pay attention to what is happening in Austin. Don't assume that it will all work out just fine, there's only so much money and every lobbyist up there will pushing their agendas to be heard. If you don't like what you're hearing, seeing or reading in the papers, get on the phone to your reps and let them know!
MidtownCoog
Agree.Even if you have no connection to UH, it's an important economic engine to the city.
