steven5150
I noticed some remodeling at the old Barton Springs restaurant on 249 and stopped by for a look. One of the papers on the door said it was going to be a Red Robin restaurant - gourmet hamburgers. I went to their website and confirmed it. Has anyone tried them before?http://www.redrobin.com/-Steve
cfresident
Funny you should bring that up. We were at the Red Robin in the Woodlands and were wondering when they would open one down in Spring.Yes. I've been there several times. I think they use less and cheaper ingredients now. Plus, they tend to overcook the burgers with the e-coli scares. It's a good family spot though...very kid friendly. In my opinion, nothing beats Fuddruckers when it comes to a good burger. But, I'm glad to see them move into the area.
PureAuteur
All chain restaurants use cheaper ingredients these days. It's part of their profit strategy. They need to advertise heavily to get people to come eat the meals they try to pass off as good food, and they need to lower the cost of the food to pay for the advertising. Chain restaurants are just bad on so many levels. If you want to eat good tasting and good quality food, go to a locally owned restaurant with a good reputation.
