Ol' SEHouston Girl
Hi, Ol' SoutheastHouston Girl here, grew up in Glenbrook Valley and Park Place, attended Sterling and Milby. Does anybody remember Tootsie's Birthday Hut in Park Place? A woman held fantastic parties for children and she even had a marionette theatre on the property in which the partygoers could watch a marionette show. I was just watching home movies and reminiscing...

Ol' SEHouston Girl
My sister and I both had parties there--in 1958 and 1961. What a great set-up! Watching the home movies, I am really impressed by what all she had.

gnu
Let me unearth this old old old thread with new info from Swamplot... WOW! What a time capsule! Look through all the photos in the HAR listing. Looks like Tootsie's husband lived on until 2011 (102!!!) while not changing much and then the heirs left it alone as well. http://swamplot.com/about-that-room-full-of-dangling-cartoons-in-glenbrook-valley/2016-12-05/ http://www.har.com/8153-river-dr/sale_57823178 http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/houstonchronicle/obituary.aspx?n=herbert-pohler&pid=154809542 Edited December 5, 2016 by gnu inserted photo
