Pumapayam
I remember back when I was a kid the quality and variety of items under a dollar:Taco Bell 59 Edited October 18, 2006 by Pumapayam
TJones
I can't believe you forgot these. Wendy's has the best dollar menu, salads are always fresh, as well as the burgers that actually have lettuce and tomatoe on them. Chili for a buck ! It's the best. TJones
Forget the small stuff, give me WHATABURGER!!!!!!!!! A-1 Thick and Hearty Burger. Yes, there is indeed a GOD, and he knows exactly what I like. Puma, the reason for $1.99. Well, the burger cost a whole $.19 to make, fries are $.11 , drink is $.25, and the toy is a whopping $.50, if that. I had a very interesting talk with the owner of the 3 or 4 Mickey D's in Baytown. She gave me the whole scoop. This was about 10 years ago or so. It only costs $.39 to make a Big Mac, and that includes labor.

I guess with numbers like that you really can feed an African child for pennies a day. I am shocked, who knew it was that cheap.

new major on the block
Better than the thick and hardy is a triple meat triple cheese whatabugar wata-sized, with bacon. Pure Bliss! But lets not forget those two tacos for $.99 from Jack in the Box. They are greasy but very satisfying. I sometimes order eight of them. Eat some now, save some for later.
