joshuajbp
Do any photos exist of the fallout shelter underneath the Macy's downtown? It mentions that a local newsreporter visited the site in 2002 and that it looks servicble. Also heard there was one underneath the limestone City Hall? editor
I've seen video from inside the one under Macy's/Foley's, but I haven't ever seen any still photos online.
houston1973
i do rember at the old TG&Y downtown on Praire and Main. Now club Suede had the yellow sign outside when the store was open. Also at the old Jim Dandy's Chicken accross the street, where Jefe Bar is now had the same sign for a fallout shelter. They were still there as early as 2000, but are no longer
Montrose1100
I'm not sure if this topic belongs here, simply because (de-faco rules) all the "I'm lookin for a photo of _____" topics take place in the historic houston section. Although it makes sense, since this is the Photo section.
usonia
The tunnel between the old Harris County Civil and Criminal (now Juvenile) courthouses has fallout shelter signs. Cool ones too, with little arrows. The tunnel runs underneath San Jacinto Street.
