jgs1419 Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 There are two homes in The Heights that are being built to the GHBA's Green Building Initative by W.E. Gilbert Co.There is a house in memorial that I think was designed by Barley/Pfeiffer Barley/Pfeiffer that is a pilot home for LEED-H. It is being built by Brothers Strong.I'm sure there are a variety of custom homes being built with a green focus but they may not be aiming for compliance with any of the green building standards for homes that have been recently introduced. Gulf Coast Green is coming up in September. It is a good forum for learning about 'green' fundamentals and what architects and builders are moving toward more sustainable building practices. FULL DISCLOSURE: I'm with W.E. Gilbert Co. Quote
