the adding machine

Recommended Posts

i went on vacation and when i returned started helping out with this project.

i promised myself not to go to HAIF too often during this time as it is much

too easy to get sucked in!

there are 3 shows left: this monday, friday & saturday!

written in 1923 about an adding fella who gets replaced by an adding machine.

I'm getting a runtime error on your link. Is there a better way in?

By the way, I wasn't aware of the existence of such a theater that deep in the East End. Impressive. I figured that this stuff was going to head out that way. All those vacant run-down warehouses were bound to become targets of non-profits sooner or later.

with such a short run myspace was the best way to get real time

info out. the great thing about this project was that it is no set

theatre group --- it is individuals from different local groups getting

together to do something different.

Hmm...plot seems a little uncomplicated. Kind of preachy. Blue collar. I'll pass on this one.

I do like the way that they refered to the East End as "hyperfunky", though.

Yeah, it is a good sign to see this going on out there. It would be great to see some kind of theater action take hold out there that might link up with the Commerce St. art scene and really anchor the East End as a desirable location for the 21st Century. The Navigation area has such potential. The progression from ghetto/industrial/junky to "hyperfunky"/artsy is a classic sign of the beginnings of a long, slow upward trend.

Highrises and cafes on the bayou are sure to follow.

well, that's not the total plot... -_-

the mystery would be gone giving away the total plot.

it's very white collar, actually: this is my favorite review of the script

this isn't a stuffy theatre company play and it's not some irritated/

bored college kids either. it's some professional folks who got together

and have worked very hard to make this play happen. i am sure they

would appreciate your kind words.

usually, people actually see a play before they review it.
