ricco67
There is a slide show of Houston in the travel section of MSNBC.com 's website. Can't really see they did a bad job except for a couple of minor errors. I only took a quick glance at it, but they seem to have quite a few good pictures.

dalparadise
Gatsby Social Club?Did I miss something? That place was weakly attended about five years ago. I thought it had just gone away. I had no idea it was the hottest spot in town.
JasonDFW
"Downtown, the buildings are boxy glass stalactites soaring to the sky" I imagine they were searching for "stalagmites" there. Jason

Jason Stalactites hang down and Stalagmites go up, Right ? Stalagmites, don't really go up, the tips are just the point where the limestone water has dripped down for eons and has built up. Ok, the "Mr. I hurt my brain thinking about this!" show, is over. Edited July 5, 2006 by TJones
houstonray
That's funny, I remember in school I was taught to remember the difference by "Stalagmites MIGHT reach the ceiling and Stalagtites are hanging TIGHT on the ceiling". Funny how something like that sticks with you 30, er, 20ish, years later. :-)
