As Houston commutes go, Tony Buzzurro's is pretty painless.

"I have made it to work in less than five minutes if I catch the greens at Rogerdale, (the West) Belt and Briarpark," said Buzzurro, 55, the president of the Royal Palms Homeowners Association and an engineer with ABB Lummus Global, an energy services company.

Buzzurro lives and works in Westchase, a rapidly growing community that is working aggressively to position itself as a sort of downtown for west Houston
