Highrise Tower
The first major Shell lab built in Houston was the Geophysical Research Laboratory in 1936, which became the Exploration and Production Research Division of Shell Oil in 1945. The new building for the E&P Division was completed in August 1947, and is known as the Bellaire Research Center in Houston. Does anyone have more information about the old Shell campus? Who was the architect for the original 1936 building, who was the architect for the 1947 building? Does anyone on HAIF recall this place? I wonder if we have any former employees around? Or maybe your parents/grandparents worked here? Shell Development Co.
