"The XFL’s Houston Roughnecks clinched a playoff spot and home-field advantage for the South Division Championship after the team’s Week 9 victory. The Roughnecks will host the Arlington Renegades, a team they have beaten twice already, for a chance to play in the XFL Championship Game.

The Roughnecks finished the season 7-3, best in the South Division, and closed out the season on a three-game winning streak. Houston started the season 4-0 before losing three-straight games in the middle of the season.

The Roughnecks will take on the Renegades on April 29 at 6 p.m. at TDECU Stadium. The winner will play the winner of the North Division Championship game between the D.C. Defenders and Seattle Sea Dragons. The XFL Championship game will take place May 13 at 7 p.m. at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

At their five home games this season, the Roughnecks had an average attendance of 11,767 fans, which ranks No. 6 out of the eight teams in the league. The XFL average 14,433 fans per game for its 40-game regular season, with the St. Louis Battlehawks having by far the greatest average attendance (35,104), while the Orlando Guardians and Vegas Vipers each had less than 10,000 fans at their games on average. Houston’s first game in the XFL’s revamped season garnered the most fans at TDECU Stadium, with 12,784 people attending the Roughneck’s Week 1 matchup against the Guardians."

The Rock and his wife did a presentation on the Fox Sports pre game show. It's now the United Football League. The games will be broadcast on Fox.

I'm gonna bet they use a combination of UH's stadium and the Shell soccer stadium since their season is in the spring.

I foresee a continued primary use of TDECU as it has no events outside of the spring game while Shell will be hosting the Dynamo 2024 season. It just makes sense to continue using TDECU Stadium as the primary home.
