On the property is a carriage barn built in 1895. Antique store Heights Station operated there for over 40 years. The store closed its doors in 2021. 121 Heights Blvd is situated between Killen's restaurant at 101 Heights Blvd and the Union Pacific railroad track. Behind the property is self storage iStorage (previously Proguard Self Storage) at 3770 Center St. HiLine Heights apartments is a block over at 145 Heights Blvd. Parcel map with the parcel outlined. County records indicate the Hattenbachs sold the property to Lakeside Trails Management group. A year later, Heights Station closed its door. The closure was in part due to the owners retiring, according to a statement on Facebook: "To the many wonderful Facebook friends, followers, and customers of Heights Station Antiques, the end of an era has come. I have retired and closed the store. After over 40 years of providing antiques and collectibles to the Houston Heights and the broader Houston area, I am now enjoying life full-time with family, friends, and hobbies." "As a long time Heights preservationist, I am delighted that there are plans to keep the Heights Station building alive. I'm not for certain. I remember seeing an entity for 121 Heights Blvd LLC last year and Mosley listed as manager.
