On Scarlet Capital's website, 110 Milby St is labeled The Barrels. The 30,000-square-feet building is an infill industrial space built in the 1940's. According to the description, the property will be "redeveloped into 4 large format studios."

The warehouse at 110 Milby St is now being dubbed The Arches on Milby. 

Eastwood Realty has a lease listing for this property on Crexi.

The tenant leasing the unit at The Barrels I / The Arches on Milby is neither a nightclub or a waxing service. It's an art gallery.

Located at 110 Milby St, Unit 1, the name of the art gallery may be Bald Kitty. It's from the founders of Sanman Studios (See A Need. Meet A Need.)

An Instagram account for the gallery was created last year.

I was driving by a few weeks ago and saw some activity on site. Some light clean up, nothing too major. Interesting mix of cars there (a Corvette, and some other luxury-aimed vehicles).

The Instagram is interesting saying that is a contemporary art gallery with the hours of 2pm to midnight Wed to Sun.

Have to think if it was an actual night club it would be open later.

see, if I were going to use this name for a place, it would be specifically for statements like this that I would argue that this needs to be the name.

are we sure it's a night club and not a strip club?

Lots of workers on site, some were painting, insulating, others involved in repair of the roof and a crew to replace a door. None of them knew what was planned but one said it will be 3 separate sections inside.

A structural permit was filed today for 110 Milby St.

Details from the permit:

  • Warehouse repairs
  • Non-residential alteration


As mentioned in previous posts, the Second Ward property is being dubbed The Barrels I  or The Arches on Milby.
