Houston Crushed Concrete At 1800 Holmes Rd.

I found another cement ready-mix plant on Holmes Road! Houston Crushed Concrete located at 1800 Holmes Road.

Boy! How many cement plants can there be on a single stretch of road? Pierce Junction used to be all about the energy services, now it seems like it's all construction related businesses.  

Would all these ready mix plants be able to go anywhere else in the future if the area develops? It's not like they can use one of the hundreds of industrial warehouse developments nearby.  They need a separate type of parcel.  Maybe they could all move to Hiram Clarke a few miles over? Leave the Holmes Road/Buffalo Speedway area for the next Texas Medical Center development, TMC BioPort. 

If the TMC BioPort actually gets underway, it would be an unusual setting to have 5 concrete plants next door.  Although, the TMC BioPort is technically an industrial/warehouse/distribution development as well.  They kind of go together? I guess one is high end cell manufacturing, and the other is dirty cement.
