I helped it get prepped to open, then stayed another month or two. That must have been about Summer 1979. The restaurant wasn't quite at the southern end though. I was fairly centered in the middle of the side facing Fondren. Edit: August 2, 1979 Texas Tumbleweed which was located at 9950 Fondren at South Braeswood.
