gnu
I think that she actually means "family-friendly, safe, charming" ... think Woodland Heights. Sidewalks, no low-income apartments, etc. I want to stay inside the loop. We both find areas you can walk, shop, play, experience very fun.I am looking in the square bordered by W 11th, W 20th, Shepherd, and Heights, but have been nixed ... appropriately, in your opinion? Can you recommend other "blocks"? Do I need to stay East (or West?) of Heights Blvd? Thanks in advance - we are very excited to be in Houston, just want to make sure we get to a place we are all happy. I appreciate your expertise in action, where available - I think we would be good neighbors!not really knowing your price point and if you have children but here is my opinion:generally, east of heights is better, but i do think you could find something west and be happy too.i do like the woodland heights best, though.just remember that not all areas in the Heights have deed restrictions.you might also check out Norhill - roughly North of 11th and East of Studewood. http://www.proctorplaza.com/default.phpoutside of the heights you might look in or near Cherryhurst (roughly Westheimer and Dunlavy).http://www.cherryhurst.org/or just south of WestU in or near Ayrshire, off stella link and south of Bellaire/Holcombe, near the new library, YMCA, and Karl Young Park.http://www.braeswoodplace.org/
