skwatra
anyone here watch Scrubs on NBC?i got to a friend's place just in time to turn on kprc and find "Operation Smile" on for the whole hour Tuesday. when i got home and checked my DVR, there was a flash at the beginning about Scrubs airing at 3am or something. did this just happen in houston? why would they preempt a primetime show with what looked like paid programming?i emailed kprc the other day but haven't heard anything... Talbot
Well, it is KPRC. Aren't they the ones that chose to run the Victoria Secret show at like 5 a.m.?
Jeebus
KPRC sucks. Even they know it.
editor
It's all about the money. CBS-owned stations nationwide bumped some of their prime time in 2004 for infomercials. Heck, every network did it for Ross Perot's political infomercial when he was running. But don't expect it to become a trend. Affiliates like KPRC and KHOU are only allowed to pre-empt a certain number of minutes of network prorgamming per year. KTRK, though, as an owned and operated ("O&O") station, will do whatever New York says is OK.
