Gaeshun
Article from chron.com Nice to see, but I am worried that this migration will cause Texas to eventually experience the same problems that States like California is facing... Talbot
Just as long as the state and cities plan for the expected growth and don't wing it like they always seem to do.
TJones
Last I heard, people were Flocking to New Orleans to buy up the cheap real estate, there are supposedly HUGE BONUSES being offered to folks, by companies, to people willing to come back to work, even in the awful conditions at this time. houstonmacbro
Just as long as the state and cities plan for the expected growth and don't wing it like they always seem to do.that's the ticket. but not sure we (at least houston) is doing such a good job. i think we try (lawd knows the freeways are constantly under construction as one sign that something is being done), but the growth of the city seems to lack any cohesion and focus. only the major developments and places like uptown (galleria) seem to have any vision as to what they will look like in the next 5, 10 or 20 years out.everything else seems to just be like "find a place of grass and build 500 homes on it," with no real thought to how it will impact traffic, schools, etc. not to mention amenities like shopping.
