Mody Plaza River Oaks is a 2 story residence home that has been converted into a retail store. The structure is made of wood, stucco and brick spanning 2500 sq ft. River Oaks is a residential community located in the center of Houston. Located between downtown and Uptown, the community spans 1,100 acres. Established in the 1920s , the community became a well-publicized national model for community planning. River Oaks is the wealthiest and most expensive community in Texas and among the top ten in the United States. Real estate values in the community range from $1 million to over $20 million. The community is home to River Oaks Country Club, which includes a golf course designed by architect Donald Ross. The largest River Oaks racial/ethnic groups are Hispanic (50.1%) followed by White (45.8%) and Asian (2.9%). In 2012, the median household income of River Oaks residents was $42,045. River Oaks Boulevard, a road that runs through the center of the community, is lined on both sides by mansions and estates located away from the street.
