bobruss
They started work on the Ardmore Bridge that spans Brays Bayou just east of 288. It has been on the books to be replaced for at least a year and they finally brought it down this week. It will be closed for a year while being rebuilt as part of the flood improvements on Brays Bayou. This connected North and South MacGregor and now forces people to drive all of the way east to Scott to go north. I'm not complaining, but just making clear it's importance. Hopefully this will improve the flow of water down the bayou. My only concern is that leaves only the Scott bridge along the entire bayou that is still at it's lower level which could possibly cause more flooding on the west side of the bridge when water rises and is contained by the bridge. I'm not a hydrologist but I have read enough about what happens when a body of water is forced through a limited area and its usually not good.,
