Subdude Posted October 1, 2004 Share Posted October 1, 2004 Preservation Texas Seminar Examines Retrofit of Historic Commercial BuildingsAustin-based Preservation Texas will hold its annual Building Industries Council Seminar on October 13 in Houston. The seminar is the first of a two-part series to be held on building code requirements for historic structures in the Houston-Galveston area. The program will address the Americans with Disabilities Act, the uniform fire code, as well as guidelines for receiving technical assistance from the Texas Historical Commission. The seminar will be held from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, at the American Institute of Architects office, 3000 Richmond Avenue, Suite 500. To register for the event, send a check for $40 to Preservation Texas, P.O. Box 12832 Austin, TX 78701. Please include your name and contact information when reserving your space.
