editor
I was eating at a fast food joint called "America's Dog" a couple of days ago, and the menu was populated with selections like "Chicago Dog," "New York Dog," and ,"Cincinnati Dog."I already knew what I wanted -- the same thing I always make at home -- a hot dog with chili, onions, and cheddar cheese. Well, much to my surprise, that was an option, but they called it a "Dallas Dog." Dallas dog? The menu also listed a Houston Dog, which was just a hot dog with chili only. So, what's a real Houston hot dog? Not to take anything away from San Antonio, but I'd think it should have jalapino peppers and Monterrey Jack cheese.
MidtownCoog
I really don't think there is such a thing. But since we are fat city, how about bacon and cheese? On a related note. Dot's Diner has a Houston Omlet. It has every kind of meat you can imagine. Can you say Gut Bomb!
