Blue Dogs Posted July 31, 2016 Share Posted July 31, 2016 Tonight on the 10:00pm news, KHOU CBS 11 meterologist Mario Gomez will be delivering the weather for the final time on the TEGNA station. As Mike McGuff of mikemcguff.com had reported earlier in April, Gomez is leaving KHOU-TV after 32 years. However lately, since he was still on the air. many KHOU 11 viewers asked if Gomez was actually leaving. McGuff tell them, "I hope you enjoyed Gomez's work this summer because his time with the Houston CBS affiliate ends tonight 10pm." Gomez took to Facebook earlier this morning with the following message: "As one of the longest serving TV meteorologists in Houston, I want to say thank you for allowing me to come into your homes. Thank you for trusting KHOU during the worst hurricanes & floods that are so common in SE Texas. I've enjoyed working with the best in the business for almost 32 years.
