jm1fd Posted September 23, 2004 Share Posted September 23, 2004 So I saw this really cute 20s-30s house with tons of character (and probably really well built too) in the listings, and it was in Washington Terrace (3rd ward-ish). I decided to drive and see it and check out the 'hood. Area wasn't bad, and I would have been completely sold on it, if almost every lot in the neighborhood hadn't been utterly devoid of sizeable trees. What's up with that? Bad soil? Black folks don't like trees? Bad storm came through and demolished them all? Same thing holds true just a few blocks south in Riverside Terrace (mainly along southmore).
