H-Town Man
Well it looks like Otto Mation has taken over the Photographing Houston page so I guess I'll post these here. Toured the St. Arnold's brewery today and went to sober up walking around the bayou afterward. Covered roughly from Jensen to McKee. I don't think it will ever look like the Seine or the Thames (as the Chronicle once compared the eastern stretch to) but there is potential. Just needs time and money. Starting out from the brewery. Crossing the freeway. Under Elysian Viaduct. The brewery. Statue guy's workshop on Nance. Jensen bridge. Looking east. Under Jensen. Old KBR building. Lot east of Jensen - future townhomes? Today's Tom Sawyer. End of trail going west on south bank, near public housing. Have to cross on the railroad bridge to north bank. Back glance at Jensen from railroad bridge. They keep things trim. Saw a couple work crews out there. Old drawbridge. Under 59. County jail. Repaired brick on McKee. Guess where the repair is. From McKee. Faustina Kowalska's vision. Back over I-10. The end. samagon
Sweet. I don't envy wondering around Houston in the mid afternoon in jeans. I'm sure that it looks like some parts of the thames, or siene.
