ricco67
I was out and about this and previous weekends, and I have noticed that the 30 mph speed limit is not only attainable, but outright dangerous. midtown on gray at Bagby and the Washington strip is an example.even during the day, the speeds don't seem very safe. IronTiger
Have Night/Rush Hour speed limits? Highways used to have night speed limits of 65 before Perry raised them to 75 all the time. Maybe an electronic display to change based on conditions/times.
LarryDierker
I would like for police to begin enforcing the current speed limits on the streets. It's getting out of control.
KinkaidAlum
I hear you. I ride bikes in my neighborhood daily and am constantly screaming at people to slow down (Southampton area). One asshat was going at least 60 down Greenbrier near Sunset the other day with trick of treaters all over the place.
IronTiger
If people are going 60, then a lower posted speed limit is going to do nothing. The existing limit needs to be enforced--if it's not enforced, you could do whatever...I used to drive 40 mph on a road posted as 35 and continued to do so even as it dropped to 30, but it's not enforced so I can get away with it.
