mkultra25
In a blog post today, Rice's Woodson Research Center highlighted several rare books related to Houston history that they've recently digitized and made available as PDFs in Rice's Digital Scholarship Archive: http://woodsononline.wordpress.com/2014/09/25/a-look-back-at-houston/ All of these will likely be of interest to anyone reading this subforum. I have a 2002 reprint of the 1913 "Houston as a setting of the Jewel, the Rice Institute", and it contains a wealth of interesting photos that I've not seen elsewhere. It's worth poking around the Digital Scholarship Archive beyond the highlighted volumes, as quite a few other digitized early Houston histories and documents have been uploaded.
