Blue Dogs
David Barron of the Houston Chronicle reported 75 of the 115 employees of Comcast SportsNet Houston were informed Tuesday that their jobs will be eliminated if a federal bankruptcy judge approves plans backed by the Rockets and Astros to selling the financially-troubled network to DirectTV and AT&T.Employees were informed of the potential layoffs at midafternoon by officials from a law firm representing the Houston Regional Sports Network partnership. Such notices are required by the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, which mandated that employers of companies with at least 100 workers provide 60 days' notice in advance of certain plant closings or mass layoffs.Specific details of the job eliminations planned by the purchaser were expected to be set out in a document filled with the bankruptcy court. Broad details, however, were confirmed at mid-afternoon by Reid Ryan, the Astros' president for business operations.http://mikemcguff.blogspot.com/2014/09/comcast-sportsnet-houston-Root-Sports.html?=1http://www.chron.com/Reaction from anyone on the job layoffs at CSNH ?
