Purpledevil
Educational Media Foundation, owners of 103-7 KHJK, has applied for and been granted a translator for KHJK in Conroe to increase reliability of Air 1's signal in the Conroe/The Woodlands area. The new translator, permitted to run 40 watts from a tower height of 469 feet, will broadcast at 95.3Mhz once complete. The translator will directly relay the KHJK signal, and will help strengthen reception of Air 1 in parts of Montgomery County.Ironic, as the original 103-7 facility abandoned Willis, and local service to Conroe, in the move to La Porte a couple of years back. Now, with different ownership, a piece of it will return.
