Blue Dogs
Folks, it looks like KPRC-TV NBC 2 Houston has unveiled their new set in the KPRC studios (guess they got tired of the previous one) and the station also said special coverage (such as elections) will include a virtual set as well. Mike McGuff.com reported this story. http://mikemcguff.blgospot.com/2013/09/kprc-2-launches-new-set-for-2013.html Any thoughts on KRPC NBC 2's new set ? wxman
I've been watching them build it for weeks. It looks spectacular. Very modern. By far the best set they've had yet and the sleekest one in Houston by far... brian0123
I guess they needed something larger that could accomodate Dominique's ever-growing ego.
ChannelTwoNews
It looks pretty nice. Better than I was ever expecting, based on the previous one. It's also one of the few instances I've heard of where the set was planned, built and shipped to the customer in the same city. Most times, they're done by a larger firm's central facility and shipped cross-country.
Chris
ABC 13 needs to be next to upgrade.
Fringe
I'm surprised it wasn't "breaking news".
HerculesQEinstein
Lipstick on a pig. They still have the same junk news and rancid anchors. Sachse looks horrible. Bill's face is a laugh. Conflenti is an arrogant jerk. And Courtney Zavala & Jen Reyna are atrociuous. On the positive side, Rachel's been showing off the sweater puppies a lot lately and Irika is stunning. But the new set? Lipstick on a pig.
Blue Dogs
KPRC had a studio set with the downtown skyline (spread-out version) from 1988 until 1995, during the time they used the "NBC: The Place to Be" music theme in their newscasts.
