ricco67
Over the past few months, I've noticed some construction at the Pierce Street entrance to the HOV, and further down along 45 south, but didn't think anything of it, but now I noticed there is some new booths and some covered signage as it is nearing completion.Anyone knows what's going on? I looked at METRO's website, but I haven't found anything.
Houston19514
They are installing tolling systems. The HOVs are being converted to HOTs. Still free for HOVs, but single occupancy vehicles can get in for a toll.
ricco67
Oh, that's going to so suck. The Gulf Freeway HOV is crowded as it is, hopefully they can enforce the hell out of it.Speaking of which, I've noticed they are being particularly enthusiastic in ticketing single drivers in all the HOV's as of late.
