WillowBend56
In the summer of 1972 I drove to Camden TX to ride the mixed train of the Moscow Camden & San Augustine RR--one of the last of logging railroads in the Lone Star State. Certainly the last one carrying passengers! It had last used steam locomotives in 1965, I think. The train I rode had a diesel, a few freight cars, and an ancient former Long Island RR combine coach from the 1890s.Good Times! NenaE
As a child, I rode on the one out of Palestine.Wonder how the cars in Galveston are doing after the hurricane and flood. Hate to think they have been damaged. They were awaiting rehabilitation when I last visited years ago.
