MidtownCoog
Nice. Check out how the streets are laid out. Reminds me of River Oaks.Google Map "2 N Cedar Lawn Dr Galveston, TX 77551-4632"
J.A.S.O.N.
I could only get a few shots of these communities. Black guy riding on rims was certainly out of the norm, I stuck out like a sore thumb. I'm pretty sure I beat the cops by a couple of minutes. kjb434
Great shots of what we don't typically think of as Galveston.I'm going there Saturday with some friends who just moved here from Chicago. On grew up there and is going to show us the Galveston we don't usually see.
Lowbrow
Many of the older homes in these pictures are repeated in some of the other neighborhoods in Galveston. I rented an exact duplicate of the house in the 8th picture of the first post but on 25th street for a few years while I attended college in galveston. J.A.S.O.N.
I have a couple of more pics of other neighborhoods, and some I didn't get to. I had to be quick, in & out.

Lowbrow
Is The Foam Depot still open?I used to love that place.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Its called something else now. I used to exclusively drink at the Foam Depot. I remember Della the bar maid that made the best white pizzas. I worked at what used to be a jazz bar around the corner, Trumpets on the Strand, a George Mitchell property that has now been closed for a long time. Guess that was back around 1993-1996.
