The idea is to solicit photos for the book that are creative works rather than descriptive images that simply show what Houston looks like. This book will show locals and visitors fresh and surprising perspectives on familiar landmarks. We will discover what our city looks like through the eyes of creative photographers. The goal is to make a unique photography book for which the unifying theme is that all photos show a structure or building in the greater Houston area. If this sounds like fun to you, perhaps you would consider submitting some of your work. Participation is fee. About 50 images will be selected for the book. More details here. Thank you!MartinMartin,Have you seen the photo book by Nellie Connally, "Houston, City In Motion"? She began this project with some of the best photographers around, and captured the heart and soul of Houston in the large color photos, with stories attached. I worked with her on this book, and one of my photos is in it. Beautiful lady, and great book. This work started in 1999, but I'm not sure what date the actual book was released, and as I looked through it just now, I couldn't find a date. I'm assuming it was published @ 2000 - 2001. A friend of mind is doing something similar in Germany and I liked his idea so much that I thought I'd try it here. I am not surprised that is has been done before.
